1990 Cadillac Brougham 5.7 Liter V8 Exceptional 1990 Cadillac Brougham that is all original with only 43,000 miles. Dark Maple Metallic with matching vinyl roof and leather interior.
Two local owners. Aside of a few brush touch to repair a few minor paint chips, the car is otherwise all original paint. Undercarriage is excellent & clean.
Known History:
According to the warranty information card enclosed with the owner’s manual, the first owner purchased the car on December 11, 1990 with 5,103 miles from Burne Oldsmobile Cadillac in Scranton PA. The second owner purchased the car on October 1, 1994 with 15,150 miles. The second owner always kept the car garaged, only using it on special occasions. When the second owner passed away, ownership was transferred to his daughter who rarely used the car who obtained PA Antique Plates and title to eliminate the costs of annual PA inspections and registration. When the daughter passed away, she left her estate to her long time boyfriend from whom we purchased the car.
What we have done:
Power antenna removed, rebuilt and replaced.
Replaced water pump (AC Delco) which had become noisy.
Replaced headliner with correct fabric.
Flushed cooling system.
A/C system completely overhauled, including new A/C compressor (AC Delco), new condenser and new evaporator.
Flushed all A/C lines and replaced A/C oil. R12 integrity has been retained as R134a conversion results in compromised performance under high temperature conditions. Air conditioning system now works flawlessly.
Replaced tires with 1″ whitewall radials to help maintain factory appearance. The original Uniroyal Goldstripe Tiger Paws were still on the car at the time of purchase but at 30+ years old they were far too unsafe for road use.
Cassette deck was found to be inop which was removed and sent out for repair and reinstalled.
Audio output in left channel was weak – separate unit containing tuner/amplifier section was also sent out, repaired and reinstalled. Sound System is now fully operational.
All other equipment in working order including the Dual Six-Way Power Seats and Power Recliners, Power Windows, Locks, Power Trunk Release & Pulldown, Cruise, Level Ride etc.
Also important to note is that both Electroluminescent Opera Lamps are working.
Suspension is the heavy duty FE2 which was included on the 1990 model with 5.7 Liter. The car is lifted 1 inch and had a firmer ride with 9C1 (Police Caprice) spec shocks, springs, and sway bars which were a part of the Towing Package. This suspension dramatically improves handling at highway speeds.
In short it would be difficult to imagine a better sorted example of a 1990 Cadillac Brougham in this level of condition. Everything has been done for you. There is no money to be spent on this car other than gas. The car is tight, rattle free and drives like new. Mileage listed as “EXEMPT” on PA title but FTC mileage statement affirming actual mileage of 43,xxx will be provided.
